Meet Rachel.


Hello! My name is Rachel and I'm a culinary holistic nutritionist, foodie, yogi, nature lover and personal chef.

I started hearts & beets because as a certified holistic nutritionist I’m passionate about health and nutrition and I love food. But I haven’t always been this way. After having a tumultuous relationship with food and encountering some health issues I finally decided to take my health into my own hands with diet and lifestyle changes (mixed in with a lot more self-love). I was working a corporate 9-5 job in Toronto and struggling to find the time to create healthy meals while also balancing a million other things.

Left feeling unfulfilled with my corporate career I went back to school to pursue my passion for nutrition. After completing nutrition school I realized how many people truly wanted to eat healthy, but didn’t have the time or know-how. 
Trust me, I get it. Your time is precious and cooking can be intimidating. There’s nothing more frustrating than getting home after a long day to an empty fridge and making poor food choices.
